On Thursday evening, August 23, the practice match against our Beek en Donk table tennis friends took place in Beek en Donk. Last year the first edition in Stiphouse was a great success. Reason to hold the return meeting in Beek en Donk this year. Both Een en Twenty and Stiphout had organized 5 teams, some even consisting of 4 people. There were 16 participants on behalf of TTV Stiphout and Een en Twenty had 17.
There was a lot of sweating in a warm playing room. In the canteen, that sweat was regularly supplemented with fluid, for example from the tap. The friendly competition was a lot of fun! Host on behalf of One and Twenty, Stephan Hamelijnck, announced the final results just after 11 p.m.
While TTV Stiphout won fairly convincingly at home last year, this time it was very close: 29-30, but still just in favor of TTV Stiphout. But the most important thing was that this was seen as a side issue. The conviviality was especially important and the mutual bond was well strengthened. Frenklin thanked the hosts for the pleasant welcome and sporty evening and invited TTV One and Twenty to come to Stiphouse again next year! This was responded to with approving applause.
