Before the start of the competition it seemed 1e team of TTV Stiphout have a good chance of winning the title in the 1e class D. It was anything but smooth sailing.
Although after the fairly smooth 1e half of this competition the team was in the lead with 6 points ahead of One and Twenty 1 (35 to 29), the 2e half as smooth.
The away match at Return Oss 1 in particular was one to quickly forget. The team that ultimately reached 5 lost by no less than 8-2e place (and therefore relegated).
Despite this slip-up, solid victories followed against Valkenswaard 1 and TTCV van Herwaarden 2. They then also lost at Veldhoven (6-4), but it was fortunate that Een en Twenty only played with 2 people at TTCV van Herwaarden and there with 8- 2 went down.
The last game, against number 2 One and Twenty, started with a lead of 4 points. When it turned out that one of the key players of One and Twenty was injured and therefore could not play in the championship match, the matter was quickly settled. At 0-3 for us 1e team, the championship was a fact! Congratulations! One and Twenty congratulated the gentlemen and gave each a beautiful rose! Next season it will make 1e team once again makes its appearance in the premier league. Good luck gentlemen!
In addition to the 1e team in the NTTB is also our 1e team in the TLE recently became champions in Class 3. The 13-point lead over competitor Flash 4 showed that there was some force majeure. Next year this team will compete in Class 2. Congratulations gentlemen!
