On January 18, our table tennis friend, former chairman and honorary member
Frans Geubbels
dead. Frans was a member of our association for almost 53 years and has done and meant a lot to our association. Frans has done administrative work for years, including the presidency. He was the organizer of major table tennis events such as the Brabant Championships, the Dutch Youth Championships and the Open Helmond Championships. He was a member of the construction crew of our playroom. Frans was also the founder of various policy plans of our association. His volunteer mentality was at a professional level.
In 1979, Frans was appointed our first honorary member. In 2005 he was decorated with the Volunteer Medal from the Municipality of Helmond. 3 years ago he was the first member to reach the milestone of 50 years of membership.
We can certainly say that without Frans the TTV Stiphout association would not have been what it is today.
We wish his partner Marianne, his children Ton and Daniëlle, the grandchildren and other family and friends a lot of strength to bear this great loss.
