On Thursday 27 March the canteen was full of sponsors and (Stiphout) entrepreneurs who came for an evening especially for them. We had also managed to secure a top speaker: Ray Klaassens. This native of Helmond grew up in the Het Haagje neighbourhood and, like many TTV-ers, went to the Carolus. He then followed the KMA in Breda and after his exam became a Second Lieutenant and joined the commando corps. Ray is co-founder of Triangular Group Academy, a training and knowledge institute for people who work in the security domain.
But we know Ray mainly from the television programs Kamp van Koningsbrugge, No Way Back and his participation in Wie is de Mol? (2025). He can currently be seen in the new TV program Strijders. He has also written a book: Groeipijn (2024).
Ray spoke in an inspiring way about the development he himself has experienced as a person and about how organizations can function better. The audience listened very attentively and also asked good questions. After a presentation of 75 minutes, it was time for snacks and drinks and the attendees were given the opportunity to have their picture taken with Ray or to exchange a few words. Frenklin thanked Ray with a nice bottle of whiskey, his favorite drink besides coffee.
It was a beautiful evening that inspired those present. This setup is definitely worth repeating!
