On Friday, December 27, the annual Children's Table Tennis Party took place in the Stiphouse table tennis center. Primary school students from Helmond could register via JIBB+. Despite the lower number of participants than in previous years, it was a very nice event.
After Frenklin's welcome speech, Carlo, 1e team player from TTV Stiphout, explained to the participants how to hold the bat and taught them what backhand and forehand are. The children were then able to put this into practice immediately with the help of Carlo, Frenklin, Lex, Stefan, Toine and 3 ladies from JIBB+. A games circuit, including an exercise against the robot, ensured that the participants quickly mastered some table tennis skills. Michiel provided a drink during the break.
This was followed by the round-the-table game. Everyone was given 10 'lives', after which one would go off if they made a mistake. Some children were not yet very good at counting... A tournament
in our opinion per age category was the final piece.
After adding up the points for the games circuit and the tournament, the prize winners were announced by Frenklin.
1e prize 6 and 7 year olds: Sam
1e prize for 8 and 9 year olds: Joep
1e prize for 10 and 11 year olds: Maurits
Winner Around the Table: Floris
All participants received a ball and a strip card, with which they can play 3 times for free during the Wednesday evening training (6:30 PM - 7:45 PM) that starts on January 8. Maybe see you then!
